Local Leaderboards and Expanded Rankings

Local Leaderboards and Expanded Rankings give players more meaningful insight into where they stand competitively, not just globally, but within local areas, age groups, and player segments. This helps players see their exact position among nearby peers and within relevant competitive cohorts.

What Are Local Leaderboards & Expanded Rankings?

Local Leaderboards & Expanded Rankings expand the traditional overall ranking view by showing:

• Rankings within Age Groups (e.g., 12U, 18U, 30+, 40+, etc.)
• Rankings within Player Segments (Junior, Adult, High School, College)
• Interactive Local Leaderboards that show exactly who is ahead of and behind you in a given location (e.g., city, state, country, world)

These features are designed to give players a clearer competitive context and a more engaging way to track progress.

Who Can See These Rankings?

Local Leaderboards & Expanded Rankings will appear in your UTR Sports account if you meet the following criteria:

• You have a Verified Singles or Doubles Rating with 100% reliability
• Your Date of Birth (DOB) is entered and valid
• You have the required location and eligibility data on your profile

Note: If any required information is missing, certain leaderboards may not display.

How Local Leaderboards Work (Close-in-Rank View)

When viewing your ranking, you’ll see a list of:

• The 5 players ranked immediately above you
• The 5 players ranked immediately below you
• Your position clearly highlighted

This shows your closest competitors, what you’re chasing, and who you’re defending against.

Top 100 Leaderboard

In addition to the close-in view, you can browse the Top 100 players in each geography and ranking category. This includes:

• City-level Top 100
• State-level Top 100
• Country-level Top 100
• World Top 100

Separate leaderboards are available for Singles and Doubles.

Access Based on Subscription

Features available depend on your level of access:

Players with Power or Pro Profile access get:

• Full visibility into local leaderboards
• Complete age group and segment rankings
• Clear highlighting of your competitive position
