This article enumerates the fees taken off on each payment received in Stripe - the platform used for running UTR Sports Events.
There are two major fees taken on each registration - UTR Sports fees and Stripe fees. The percentage of fees that go to UTR Sports is indicated on your contract while Stripe fees differ per country. You can refer to the table below for the full list.
You can view the fees of each payment within your stripe.com account. Select one of the transactions on your account and click the “i” to show the breakdown of fees. You'll see the following information:
- Amount: The total amount the player paid to register for your event.
- Fee: The total deductions from the registration fee.
- Stripe processing fees: Non-refundable fees from Stripe.
- Application fees: UTR Sports cut of registration fee + event verified fee (waived for power subscribers) + service fee (vary per country)
- Net: What you earn from the total amount.
Example 1: Non Power user, with UTR Sports fee
Since this payment is made in the United States, we’ll use the following Stripe fee structure:
Stripe fee: $57.99 X 2.9% + $0.30 = $1.98
The application fees consist of three things - UTR Sports fees, verified fees, and service fees. The verified fee is waived for those players subscribed to Power. In the example above, the player does not have any Power subscription. This means that the player will pay $12 verified fee in addition to the event fee, in this case it's $44. Thus, the application fee is calculated as:
Application fee: $4.4 (UTR Sports fee) + $12 (verified fee) + $1.99 (service fee) = $18.39
Note: The UTR Sports fee differs depending on your Club type. You can contact your Account Manager to confirm your UTR Sports fee.
Example 2: Non-Power user, without UTR Sports fee
Let's take another example from the payment made in the United States.
The customer paid a total of $48.99 and the registration fee for the event was $35. Since the customer is not subscribed to Power Players, they paid $12 to register for the verified event hence, $35 + $12 + $1.99 (service fee) = $48.99.
The calculation for the Stripe processing fee is as follows: $48.99 X 2.9% + $0.30 = $1.72. In total, the provider will get $33.28 into their Stripe account.
Note: The processing fees are non-refundable fees from Stripe.
You can use the table below for reference on the fees applicable per country. Fees are subject to change - please check Stripe.com
